He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Penman and Joan Penman (Struthers); his wife Dolores; his siblings, Margaret, Alexander and Edith (McKinnon); his grandchildren, Breanna and Daniel; and his nephew Allan.
He is survived by: his children, Byron (Catherine), Deborah (Jim Kiley) and Keith (Teresa); his brother-in-law Hughie MacKinnon; and his grandchildren, Jillian, Nathan and Maria. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Dad's memory be made to the Cemetery Fund of St. Mary's Church in Port Morien.
