He was predeceased by: his parents, William Slawter and Dorothy Slawter (Evans); his wife Francine (Johnson); his son Victor; and his brother David.
He is survived by: his children, Wynne and Nevin (Ann); his siblings, Sheila, Julia, Daphne, Brenda, Karen (Paul) and Byron; and his godchild Star. He is also survived by four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the East Preston United Baptist Church (206 Upper Partridge River Rd, East Preston, NS B2Z1H3). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the same location.
