She was predeceased by: her parents, George Brooks and Rita Brooks; and her siblings, Maisie, Roy, Rose, Kenneth, Vivian (Carter), Raymond and Larry.

She is survived by: her children, Trina Morris, Sterling (Chi Mei) and Mark (Anita); her grandchildren, Courtney Hickey (Jeremy), Justen Johnston (Shelley), Tyshan Willis, Autumn Morris, Nathan, Daniel Johnston and Jamal Sheppard; and her siblings, Herman (Kathleen), Humber Park, Curtis East Preston (Gail), Mildred Scott of Dartmouth, Frances Lewin of Dartmouth, Delores (Delnor Marsman) of Dartmouth, Evangeline of Dartmouth, Maxine (Luke Maxwell) of Dartmouth, Jennifer Beals and Marsha of East Preston. She is also survived by loving extended family including nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
