He was predeceased by: his parents, Angus Nicholson and Marion Nicholson; and his siblings, Donald, Glenn, Robert, Marlene, Jean, Dayle and Stanley.

He is survived by: his children, Angela Pratley (James) and Chad Nicholson (Shawna); his granddaughters, Camryn, Olivia, Hannah and Sloan; his friend Gladys Nicholson; and his sisters, Carol and Joyce.
