With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Garrett Charles Joseph Powers Mwo of Eastern Passage, Nova Scotia, who passed away on May 16, 2025 at the age of 42. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Garrett Charles Joseph Powers may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Garrett Charles Joseph Powers touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He is survived by: his parents, Scott Powers and Jody Powers; his wife Tina; his children, Gavin and Phoebe; and his sister Julie Powers (Amanda). He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sea King Club.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Valour Place Society - a military family and veteran support house in Edmonton, AB that housed Garrett and his family through multiple surgeries and treatments.
