He was predeceased by: his significant other Oougie; his parents-in-law, Jeff and Betty; his brother David; his sister-in-law Brenda; his brother Jim; and his sister-in-law Marilyn.
He is survived by: his spouse Lynn; his stepson Brad; his daughter-in-law Megan; his siblings, Billy (Donna), Doris (Mario), Ron (Shaaron), Sharron (Gord), Darrell and Pam (Kevin); his siblings-in-law, Chuck (Linda), Donna (Mo) and Patsy; and his parents, William Orton and Rita Orton (Fogarty). He is also survived by several other family members, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A reception will be held on Thursday, May 14th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Eastern Passage Legion (1341 Main Rd, Eastern Passage, NS B3G1M5).
