He was predeceased by : his parents, Richard Holt and Lora Holt; and his siblings, Eric, Malcolm, Levy, Stanley, Jean, Isabel, Marian and Shirley.

He is survived by : his wife Claire Elaine Holt; his son Steven Michael Holt (Rachelle); his grandchildren, Rhiannon, Shae Lynn, Blaise and Justine Currie; and his great grandchild Avery.
