He was predeceased by : his parents, Hall Dorey and Kathleen Dorey (Scott); and his siblings, Phyllis Thomson, Lorna Higgins and Gordon Dorey.

He is survived by : his wife Loretta Dorey (Duncan). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
