Mildred Euphemia Shears Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mildred Euphemia Shears of Fall River, Nova Scotia, who passed away on February 15, 2026, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Sydney Brake and Wilhelmina Brake; her daughter Nadine (Arnold Hubley); her son-in-law Gerald Mitchell; her siblings, Gerald, Aubrey, Max (Evelyn), Jim (Lorraine), Eric, Una White (Gerald), Hilda Payne (Otto), Millicent Ford (Eric) and Evelyn Gardiner; and her sisters-in-law, Marjorie Brake and Bridget Brake.

She is survived by: her husband James Edgar "Wallace" Shears; her children, Larry (Patricia) and Angela Mitchell; her grandchildren, Cheryl Law (Craig), Jerry Mitchell (Jessesar), James Hubley and Melissa Mailman (Dakoda); her great grandchildren, Jaxon, Brooklyn, Ava, Will, Tessa and Alaylah; her brothers, Allan Brake and Wilbur Brake; and her siblings-in-law, Dar Brake and Dick Gardiner. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
