He was predeceased by : his parents, Russell Baker and Mabel Baker; his wife Geraldine Baker; his stepfather Frank Fleming; his son Frederick; and his sister Marjorie Sharpe (Carl).

He is survived by : his children, Beverly (late Leon Lake), Virginia (late Colin MacCallum), Bonnie MacCallum (Dale), Maurice Baker (Lois), Karl Baker (Irene) and Martin Baker (Wanda); and his sister-in-law Joyce Metzler. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
