He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert "Bob" Skelhorne and A. Una Skelhorne (Perry); and his wife Hughena (MacKinnon). He is survived by : his children, Jody and Aaron (Myrlene) of Edmonton, AB; his grandchildren, Alek, Nathaniel, Alton, Elonna and Annabel; his great grandchildren, Deakin and Lewis; his siblings, Connie (Bruce), Fred (Cindy) of Noel and Dwaine (Joanne) of Noel; and his close friend Ethel. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
