With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wendy Mae Hanes of Falmouth, Nova Scotia, who passed away on January 16, 2026 at the age of 59. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Wendy may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Wendy touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gordon Hedley and Ellen Kathleen Dill (Eldridge). She is survived by: her daughters, Amanda Hanes and Jessica Apesteguy; and her siblings, Bob Dill (Sherry) and Mary Knee (Robert). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
