He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Pero and Annie Pero (Jessome); his brother Dacy; his brother-in-law Cecil; and his grandparents, Pius, Elizabeth, John Matt and Mary.

He is survived by: his wife Bernice (Snow); his children, Brent (Karen), Dawn Pero-Smith (Baron) and Beth Macintyre (Troy); his grandchildren, Kyle (Melanie), Laura (Shawn), Mark, Ben, Grace, Mady and Liam; his siblings, Ronnie, David (Juanita), Sandy (Christine), Wayne (Phoebe) and Anne Marie (John); his aunt Sheila; his uncle Butch; his sister-in-law Elaine (Tanya Quirk); his close friend Loddie; and his friend Duke. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, May 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Family Catholic Church.
