It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Garfield Hurley of Georges River, Nova Scotia, born in Maccan, Nova Scotia, who passed away on December 25, 2022, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Charles Augustus Hurley and Hazel Bernice Hurley (Cameron); his grandson Tim Hurley; his brother Doug; his nephew Trevor Hurley; his niece Joy Wood; and his brother-in-law John Murphy.

He is survived by : his sons, John W. (Shelley), Aaron (Laura) and Draper; his grandchildren, Sean Hurley and Bianca Roberts; his siblings, Chuck (Charlene), Fred Hurley, Joan Murphy and Midge Wood; and his sister-in-law Star Hurley. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and nephews.
