It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Catherine Donelda MacDonald (Glace Bay, Nova Scotia), born in Sydney, Nova Scotia, who passed away on December 23, 2019, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Martin MacPherson and Ann Morrison; her adoptive parents, Walter Whiteway and Mary Whiteway; and her brother Martin 'Mansie' MacPherson.

She is survived by : her significant other Brian Dean; her sons, Douglas (Melanie) and Melvin; and her sisters, Martina Morris and Betty Romard. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.

In honour of Donelda, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
