Isabel Mary Burte Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Isabel Mary Burte (Glace Bay, Nova Scotia), who passed away on October 21, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Alfred Butt and Maisie Morrison Butt; her husband James F. Burte; her grandchildren, Danielle Gillis and Brandon Plichie; and her siblings, Kenneth, Gerald, Eric Butt and Eileen Tanner (Al).

She is survived by : her children, Vina Johnson (Robert), Coxheath, Gerri Plichie (Tyrone), Eileen Vaters (Albert), Alison Gillis (Steve), Charlene Nearing (Steve), Grand Prairie and Jim Burte Glace Bay (Olga); her grandchildren, Elaine (Scott), Glenda (Kenzie), Matthew (Janice), Shane (Erica), Anthony (Katie), Ryan, Michelle (Dylan), Aaron, Jillian (Tim), Justine (James) and Krystal; and her great grandchildren, Hunter, Maria, Rylen, Colston, Larkin, Xzavier, Scarlett, Ronan, Juliette, Jaxon and Peyton. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

As per Mom's wishes, cremation has take place under the care and direction of Patten Funeral Home and due to Covid restrictions, there will be no public service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice.
