He is survived by : his close friend Lorraine Abbott; his children, John Andrew (Valerie), Elizabeth, Stephen (Allison), Joseph, Jason (Rasha) and Will Abbott; and his siblings, Mary Campbell, Ann Pasher, Alex and Peter McNeil. He is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
