She was predeceased by: her parents, Henrietta Desmond (Sparks) of Sydney and William Desmond of Glace Bay; her husband Dawson Hoyte; and her siblings, Hazel, Dora, Charles, Herbert and George.
She is survived by: her son James Desmond; her granddaughters, Whitney and Jasmine; her great grandchild Bryerley Lynn of Glace Bay; and her sister Georgina Farmer (Babes) of Sydney. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (230 Evergreen Dr, Sydney, NS B1M1A6).
