She was predeceased by : her parent Naomi Betts (Higgins). She is survived by : her husband Clayton; her children, David, Tammi, Kerri-Ann and Robert; her stepdaughter Pamela MacKinley; and her grandchildren, Ryan, Brody, Jimmy, Jessica and Julien.

Memorial donations may be made to Diabetes Association of Canada, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia, or The Kidney Foundation of Canada.
