She was predeceased by: her husband John; her parents, Marjorie Shay and Fred Shay; and her siblings, Earl, Vernon, William "Bill", Theodore "Teddy", Marion, Marjorie, Audrey and Kay.
She is survived by: her children, Debbie (Roy Keddy), Gary (Joy Davis), Sandy (Robert Thompson), Pamela and Gordie (April Messenger); her grandchildren, Bette (Chris Geldart), Jenny (Matt McCarthy), Brittany (Josh Sroka), Tyler Barr (Stephanie), Janelle (Jeremy Connor), Jamie Lawrence (Hunter), Rachel (Josh) and Lucas Lawrence; her great grandchildren, Taylor (Dee Ives), Jordan, Mia, Kai, Cru, Ryker, Max and Reginald; her great great grandchildren, Dawson and Jaxon; and her brother-in-law Ross Lawrence (Linda). She is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 at 2:00 PM at 76 Old Trunk Rd, Elmsdale, NS B2S2B1.
