He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Hartlen and Gertrude "Marion" Hartlen (Appleby); and his sister Carol Chisholm. He is survived by: his wife Faye (Varner); his children, Susan Clark (Dan) of Buckhorn, ON, Tracey Landry (Jules) of Clarence Creek, ON, Rhonda Marley of Toronto, ON, Michael Flynn of Mill Bay, BC and Kenneth "Sean" Hartlen; and his brother Ron Hartlen (Sheila).
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 98 (1472 Veterans Ln, Kingston, NS B0P1R0).
