Betty Jane Izzard Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Jane Izzard (Guysborough, Nova Scotia), who passed away on November 28, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Sproule and Dorothy Sproule; and her grandson Tyler Mallette. She is survived by: her husband Norman Izzard; her children, Joanne Pierce-Mallette, Kenneth Izzard, Ricky Mallette and Brian Mallette; her sister Bonnie Patterson; and her nephew Robert Patterson. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 30th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Dennis Haverstock Funeral Homes (54 Queen St, Guysborough, NS B0H1N0). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home (54 Queen St, Guysborough, NS B0H1N0). A burial was held on Monday, December 1st 2025 from 3:15 PM to 3:30 PM at the Evergreen Cemetery.
