We are sad to announce that on April 25, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Daniel Thomas Gillis of Guysborough, Nova Scotia, born in Sydney, Nova Scotia. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Gillis and Sadie Gillis (Doolan); his sister Julie; and his mother-in-law Helen McNamara (McIntyre). He is survived by: his wife Ursula; his children, Lisa Bowers (Dennis) of Gatineau, Helen Gillis-Cooze (Michael) of Bermuda, Jeff Gillis (Amy) of Fort McMurray, Hannah of Ottawa, Harrison (Allie) of Guysborough and Sinclair Ryan (Arianne) of Point Tupper; and his caregiver Marian Brow. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church (86 Church St, Guysborough, NS B0H1N0). A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
