He was predeceased by : his parents, Walter Hines and Elsie Hines (Hudson); his son-in-law Carmen Henderson; his siblings, Cecelia Kirk (Graham), Laurine "Tootsie" Cunningham (Bobby), Maisie Phinney (Clinton) and Bruce Hines; and his siblings-in-law, Eileen Hines, Norma Hines and John Styger.

He is survived by : his wife Helen (Flick); his children, Greg (Willie) of Giants Lake, Graham (Terry) of New Glasgow, Benny of Hanna, Alb., Angie Henderson of Giants Lake and Marsha (Blair) of Isaac's Harbour; his siblings, Clancy Hines (Helen), Walter Hines (Jeanette), Delbert Hines, Verna Styger, Ethel MacDonald (Scott) and Newtown; and his sister-in-law Helen Hines. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made to Holy Trinity Anglican Church or Holy Trinity Anglican Cemetery Fund.
