He was predeceased by: his parents, MaryAnn McKinnon (Jamieson) and Murdoch McKinnon; and his siblings, Hugh, Rupert, Neil, Christina Martin and Francis.
He is survived by: his wife Geraldine (Nellis); his children, Margaret (John Gray), Ian (Catherine Craig), MaryAnne (Andre Levesque), Christine (Paul MacDonald) and Catherine (Alex Rhinelander); and his brother Murray McKinnon. He is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Due to Covid restrictions the funeral is for family and close friends only.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society or Chalice.
