With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Alexandra Nicolaou of Halifax, Nova Scotia, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Alexandra left this world on February 20, 2026 at the age of 99, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Loukas Pagania and Fotini Pagania (Chonos); and her husband Konstantinos "Gus" Nicolaou. She is survived by: her children, Joanne Kiritsis (John) and Sam Nicolaou (Kim); her grandchildren, Alexa, Adrienne, Tony (Lyndsy) and Kosta (Karen); and her great grandchildren, Louka, Mikah, Amelia, Theodore, Yiannis and Sophia.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 26th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home (217 Portland St, Dartmouth, NS B2Y1J5). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 27th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the St. George's Greek Orthodox Church (1146 Purcells Cove Rd, Halifax, NS B3N1R4).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. George's Greek Orthodox Church or to a charity of your choice.
