Amelia Crewe Obituary

With sadness, we share the passing of Amelia Crewe (Halifax, Nova Scotia). Amelia, born on September 6, 1927, passed away on September 14, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Morgan Taylor and Hannah Taylor; her husband Norman; her son Donald; her great grandchild Natalie Ernst; and her siblings, Max, John, Sarah Elizabeth May, Alma Rose, Eva Roseanna Cribb, Chesley Cribb, Clayton Cribb, Ernest May and William Rose (Doris Taylor).

She is survived by: her daughter Linda Melanson (Jack) of Middle Sackville; her grandchildren, Christopher Melanson of Dartmouth and Sheila Melanson-Ernst of New Ross, NS; her great grandchildren, Timothy Ernst and Wesley Melanson; and her sister Emily Cribb of Marystown, NF. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Atlantic Funeral Home (6552 Bayers Rd, Halifax, NS B3L2B3). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location. A reception will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of giving flowers, it was Amelia's wish that memorial donations could be made to Dalhousie University Faculty of Medicine Advancement – "Molly Appeal.".
