She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Lillian Rhynold (Thorpe) and Alfred Rhynold; her sister Patsy Stevens (Grant); her daughters, Sharmin Miller-Avery (Don Avery) and Tara Miller (Greg Chiasson); her grandchildren, Kyanna Miller, Kourtney Miller-Dempsey, Noah Laaouan (Alexys Filion) and Gabrielle Laaouan; her great grandchild Wyatt Snow; and her pet Haylee.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia in her name.
