Barry James Heath Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barry James Heath of Halifax, Nova Scotia, who passed away on February 19, 2023 at the age of 65. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Barry James Heath to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his father James Heath (Jim); and his grandparents, William, Margaret Matchett, Charles and Emma Heath.

He is survived by: his husband Brian Butt; his mother Ruth Heath; his sister Marla Johnson (Jim); his nephews, Mickey Johnson and Heath Johnson (Megan Richard); his great-nephew Taran Johnson; his stepchildren, Jessica Snell (Matt), Keliegh Butt and Jonathon Butt (Jessica); and his stepgrandchildren, Harrison, Eli and Sloan Butt.

His career was in the hospitality industry and worked at the Halifax Convention Center for many years and, during the pandemic, worked at Sobeys Tantallon.

Flowers will be accepted, or donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society in Barry's name.
