Basile leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Basile’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Basile will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his mother Xaido Botis; and his brother Kosta. He is survived by: his father Dimitri Botis; his wife Lillian (Vaso); his daughters, Heidi and Stella (Jamie); and his grandchildren, Vasili James and Arianna. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, extended family.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, August 19th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cruikshank's Funeral Home (2666 Windsor St, Halifax, NS B3K5C9). A funeral service was held on Thursday, August 20th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the St. George Greek Orthodox Church (1146 Purcells Cove Rd, Halifax, NS B3N1R4).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Basile's memory may be made to St. George Greek Orthodox Church.
