Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Bessie Lorna (Penny) O'Hearn in Halifax, Nova Scotia, who passed away at the age of 89, on March 3, 2022. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Halfpenny and Hazel Halfpenny (Martin) of Sand Point; her husband Patrick O'Hearn; her brothers, Lyman and James Glenn Halfpenny; her brother-in-law James Thorsteinson; her niece Susan Thorsteinson; and her sister-in-law Corrine Halfpenny.

She is survived by: the mother of her child Marina Ruth (Brad) of Ottawa; her son Barry of Halifax; her sister Marion Thorsteinson of Winnipeg; and her great grandchildren, Maren, Maeve and Meisha Ruth. She is also survived by nieces and nephews and cousins.
