He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara; his parents, Albert and Lily; his sister Bev; and his son Jeffery.

He is survived by: his sons, Darren and Jason (Jennifer Plamondon); his daughter-in-law Florence McCarey-Payne; and his grandchildren, Maria, Morrgan, Cecilia, Christian and Izaac.
