It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Carmen Elizabeth Symington (Halifax, Nova Scotia), who passed away on March 27, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Ted Dehmel and Isabel Dehmel; her siblings, Mary, Karen, Evie and Ted; and her son-in-law Brian Eisan.

She is survived by : her children, Frank, Kathy, Jamie (Angeline), Tim (Katheryn) and Isabel; her brothers, Fred (Trish), Jack (Phil) and Ron (Donna); her siblings-in-law, Rose and Wally; her grandchildren, Jessica, Stephen, Gray, Justis, Braxten and Kasey; and her great grandchildren, Brianna and Axl. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren and the rest of her family.

In lieu of flowers, Carmen wished for donations to be made to St Rose of Lima church.

“I met Carmen several times in 2017 while visiting my sister Elnora McPherson in Waverley. I felt she was a friendly and caring person. We had a few conversations and one topic was about A-Fib which we were both inflicted. Carmen was a very dear and caring friend to my sister Elnora and I know they spend a lot of time together. She will be sadly missed. My sincere condolences to all the family for your loss. Rest in peace Carmen. Eileen Burt”
