She was predeceased by: her parents, Lorna Bernice Fletcher and Hazen Edward Fletcher; her former husband Millard LeRoy Ayer; her son Stephen Ayer (Janice); and her husband Thomas Berkley McKay.
She is survived by: her brother Arden Fletcher (Hilda); her daughters, Elizabeth Prsala (Jan), Janet Feener (Bryon), Linda Ayer (Stephen) and Laura Wile (Baruck); her grandchildren, Janna Mazzarolo (Peter), James Prsala (Fauziya), Joshua Feener (Kathryn), Coady Feener (Mireille), Jonathan Ayer (Ali), Eric Wilson (Christy), Maddison Wilson (Matt), Bradley Wilson (Jenna), Benjamin Wile (Brooke), Luke Wile (Tasha) and Melissa Cameron (Jordell); and her great grandchildren, Celena, Adrianna Mazzarolo, Zula Prsala, Molly, Hazel Feener, Isabella Ayer, Julien Greene, Charlotte, Levi Wilson, Amelia, Xander Wile, Clara, Dani, Alaine Wile and Sebastian Cameron.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 2nd 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the J. A. Snow Funeral Home (339 Lacewood Dr, Halifax, NS B3S0E1). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 3rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Ja Snow Funeral Home (339 Lacewood Dr, Halifax, NS B3S0E1).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hillside United Church, Halifax Nova Scotia.
