With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Cecilia Margaret MacDonald (Halifax, Nova Scotia), who passed away on January 6, 2021 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William Richard and Eva Richard (McPhee); her husband John MacDonald; and her siblings, Henry, Lewis, Raymond and Yvonne.

She is survived by: her daughter Darlene; her son-in-law Paul (Vern); her grandchildren, Jordan and Jasmine; her son Stephen; her daughter-in-law Iris; her grandchildren, Joshua and Natasha; her son Joseph; her daughter-in-law Patricia; her grandchildren, Nathaniel and Alexa; her great grandchildren, Nick and Mike; her son Allan; and her siblings, Peter Richard, Stella MacCormack (John), Jean Ryan (Foster), Elizabeth MacDonald (Mickey MacNeil) of Iona and Cape Breton.

Due to COVID restrictions, a limited number of guests will be permitted.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Cecilia's name will be gratefully accepted to the palliative care unit at the Victoria General Hospital in Halifax.
