Ceridwen Howe Buchanan Booth Obituary

Ceridwen "Wendy" Howe Buchanan Booth died peacefully in Halifax on June 8, 2026, at the remarkable age of 99. Wendy had a keen intellect and a generous heart. She inspired those around her to live with kindness and grace.

Wendy devoted 22 years to the Halifax County School Board, first as a teacher and later as an Educational Psychologist, supporting students and families across Halifax County. Wendy earned a Master's degree in English and a second Master's degree in Educational Psychology. For many years she was a dedicated volunteer of the Nova Scotia Art Gallery, and St. David's Presbyterian Church. Wendy lived her early and later years in Montreal, and shared a lifelong affection of its beauty and culture.

Wendy was predeceased by her beloved husband, John Booth, P.Eng., and by her son, Ian Booth. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Heather Booth; Robert Cumming; her granddaughters, Alice Cumming (Ben Theuerkauf) and Ceridwen Crysta Cumming (Abraham Sorge); and her treasured great-grandchildren, Leo, Oliver, and Gwendolyn, all of whom brought her immense joy and pride.

Though we grieve her loss, we celebrate a life well lived. Wendy's legacy endures in the countless students she supported, the family she nurtured, and the values she instilled in all who knew and loved her.

A funeral service will be held at St. David's Presbyterian Church in Halifax, Nova Scotia on July 9, 2026 at 11 am.
