He was predeceased by: his parents, John MacDonald and Margaret MacDonald; and his siblings, Ranald, Leo, Margie and Rosie.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret "Virginia" MacDonald; his children, Paul MacDonald (Andrea) and Jane Stevens (Scott); his grandchildren, Jordan Ash, Nadine MacDonald, Jennifer and Nicole MacDonald; and his siblings-in-law, Colette MacDonald, Gerald MacDonald (Barbara) and Clyde Macdonald. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
