It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Austin Smith (Halifax, Nova Scotia), who passed away on April 19, 2020, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Wendell Austin Smith and Anna Jean Smith (Sutherland); his sister Mary; and his brother-in-law David. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis (MacDonald); his children, Angela (Craig) of Dartmouth and Adam (Josette) of Halifax; his sister Ann Boswick (Carl) of Halifax; his brothers-in-law, Gordon MacDonald (Mary) of Montague, PEI, Ian MacDonald (Dorthe) of Denver Colorado and Roger Hayes of Winnipeg; and his nephews, Karl, Trent, Matthew, Stephen, Philip, Bob and Bill.
