David Walter Hurshman Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of David Walter Hurshman of Hatchet Lake, Nova Scotia, who passed away on July 15, 2026, at the age of 66. Born to the late Walter and Joan Hurshman, David is survived by his siblings Wanda, Timmy, and Heather; his nieces and nephew Amy, Lacey, Robbie, and Adrianna; his great-nieces and great-nephew Alia, Hannah, Callie, and Caden; and his great-great-nieces Mya and Bailee.

David loved the outdoors and found joy in fishing and hunting. A loyal Toronto Maple Leafs fan, he never missed a chance to cheer on his team. He had a deep appreciation for music and carried a gentle, kind spirit that made him someone people naturally gravitated toward. Always willing to lend a hand, David’s quiet generosity touched many lives.

He was deeply loved by his family and friends and will be profoundly missed.

A celebration of David’s life will take place at a later date.
