He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Robinson and Mozelle Robinson; his siblings, Ellen and Walter Newton; and his parents-in-law, Irving and Lois Kitson.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, David and Westmount; his friends, John Rovers, Gabriel Comeau, Dan Quan, Bob Cuthbert, Margie and John Mercieca; his wife Arlene; his children, Connor (Jennifer) and Katie (Mike); his grandchildren, Elliot, Nora and Arlo; his sisters, Patricia McGee and Jennie Enman; Bob Soper, Shane O'Neil and Greg Bent. He is also survived by brothers and sisters in law and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 8th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Cruikshank's Halifax Funeral Home (2666 Windsor St, Halifax, NS B3K5C9). A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, November 8th 2026 at the College Residence They Went.
Those wishing to honour David's memory are invited to make a donation to the ALS Society of Nova Scotia and New Brunswick or the Canadian Cancer Society.
