It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dolena Janet MacDonald-Reid in Halifax, Nova Scotia, born in Inverness, Nova Scotia, who passed away on February 8, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Hugh Joseph MacDonald; her sister Geraldine (Harold Gillis); her husbands, Louis William (Bill) and James Reid; her son Raymond; and her grandchildren, Kelly Jeanne and Shauna Marie.
She is survived by: her children, Ron (Johanna Steeghs), Bill (Leona Hollett), Brian (Patricia Simpson) and Darlene (Donnie MacLellan); her grandchildren, Liam (Kate), Lindsay Dawn (Thommy), Kristy Lee (Nicolas), Kathryn (Kieran), Brock, Makayla, Ryland and Caden; her great grandchildren, Nikkie, Kaylee, Josh, Matt and Malakai; her siblings-in-law, Mary Catherine Plante (Inverness), Peggy Gallant (Dundas), Si Roach (Beamsville), Jack Roach (Toronto) and Charles Reid (Nesbit); and her friends, Boston, Craigmore and Halifax. She is also survived by Cousins, nieces, nephews.
