She was predeceased by: her parents, Sterling Downey and Aggie Downey (Steeves); her husband Wendell; her granddaughter Katherine Davideen Meldrum (Dee); and her siblings, Don, Cerdic (Gwen), Ralph and Mavis Mitton (Ron).

She is survived by: her sons, Wynn (Sharon) and Kirk Sackville (Mona); her grandchildren, Allyson Burgess (Craig), Wendy Meldrum, Sara Youngner (Stephen) and Mark Meldrum (Colleen); her great grandchildren, Andrew, Karlee Burgess, Brady Senior, Nolan and Kai Meldrum; and her sisters, Rowena Brown (Reg) and Marilyn McKenzie (Jim). She is also survived by many in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews.
