She was predeceased by: her father Ariel Hamilton; her husband John; her sister Diana Hamilton; and her brother-in-law James MacDonald. She is survived by: her children, Janet Simon (Philip), Susan Watts (Sid), JoAnne Dobson Burlington (Milt) and Paul Moser (Cindy); her grandchildren, Tamara, Daniel, Kaleigh, Wendy, Dennis, Graham, Andrew, Laura, Justin and Devyne; and her sister-in-law Helen MacDonald of Halifax, NS.. She is also survived by sixteen great grandchildren.

Memorial donations in Dorothy's honour may be made to Northwood Foundation or to a charity of your choice.
