He was predeceased by: his parents, John Alex MacFarlane and Mary Ann Gillis; and his siblings, Janet Brackett, Hugh Brackett, Mary Brackett, Douglas Brackett, Malcolm Brackett and Margaret Brackett.
He is survived by: his children, Jon-Alex MacFarlane (Catriona), Andrew MacFarlane (Cheryl Verville), Monique MacFarlane Conrad (Marty Crouse) and Lise Bertrand; his grandchildren, Aidan, Alyson, Fiona, Jack, Owen and Sophia; and also Margaret Gillis.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society or ISANS.
