He was predeceased by: his parents, John "Ralph" and Grace; his brothers, Jack (Norma), Ralph (Shirley) and Leaman (Evelyn); his sister-in-law Marg; and his brother Phillip.

He is survived by: his wife Norma Lantz; his children, Michael (Alisa), Linda (Jon) and Doug (Terri); his grandchildren, Amanda (Ryan), Alisha (Rob), Nicole (Aerion), Stephen (Stephanie), Ian, Danielle (Patrick) and Nathan; his stepgrandson Tyler (Brittany); his great grandchildren, Theresa, Parker and Adeline; and his brothers, Edward and Robert (Mary).
