With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Edith Rita (Smith) Flemming (Halifax, Nova Scotia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 10, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Smith and Percy Smith; her husband Patrick; and her siblings, Marguerite, Myie (Forbes), Ellen (McCorry), Roy, Gordon, Charlie, Bert, Dougie, George, Arthur and Alfred.
She is survived by: her children, Janice Turner (Tom Hall), Joanne Flemming, Philip Flemming (Irene), Christine Flemming, Melinda Murphy, Stephen Flemming (Debbie) and Susan Ellsworth (Eldon). She is also survived by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Stella Maris Parish (14 St Michaels Ave, Halifax, NS B3P1M5).
