It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edwin Michael Rosenberg in Halifax, Nova Scotia, born in Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on December 6, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Victoria Hammerling Rosenberg; his children, Tova Chaila Rosenberg, Joseph Elkanah Rosenberg and Sarah Rebecca Rosenberg; his children-in-law, Gary Lebovics and Yasmin Hana Solomonescu; and his grandchildren, Sofia Rachel Lebovics, Jamie Hannah Lebovics, Naomi Solomon Rosenberg and Bat Mitzvahs.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Shaar Shalom Synagogue (1981 Oxford St, Halifax, NS B3H 4A4). A committal service will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Shaar Shalom Cemetery (1981 Oxford St, Halifax, NS B3L4N2). A burial will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at the Connaught Avenue Jewish Cemetery (1981 Oxford St, Halifax, NS B3H 4A4).
In lieu of flowers, anyone wishing to commemorate Eddie can do so by making a donation in his name to the Parkinson Society Nova Scotia.
