Effie Catherine Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Effie Catherine (Halifax, Nova Scotia), who passed away on October 7, 2018. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Eugene Selena and Mary Selena (Bond); and her sister Gwen. She is survived by : her wife John Matchem; her children, Catherine (Peter Webber), Jacqueline (Brenton Daley), Rita (Philip Caissie) and David Matchem of Pictou, NS.; her grandchildren, Shannon, Thomas, Lindsay, Allison, Lauren, Tyler and Jorja; and her siblings, Doris (Jim Day), Rita (Roy Hardiman), Ilene (Harold Matthews), Marion Parsons, Linda Bulger, Hazel Harding of Eastern Passage, NS, Walt (Rose), Grand Prairie and Morley (Verna Webber).

Donations in Effie's memory can be made to the Arthritis Society of Nova Scotia.
