He was predeceased by: his parents, William Poole and Louisa Poole (Millward); his wife Mae (Richardson); his siblings, Bev, Joe, Ernie, Ron, Fred, Phyllis, Ruby, Alice and Jean; and his son-in-law Jack.

He is survived by: his daughters, Jacqueline and Jeannie (Halifax). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
