With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Emma Doreen (Kenney) Parnell (Halifax, Nova Scotia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 22, 2025 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Reginald Kenney and Margaret (Munro); her siblings, Lorne Kenney and Helen Berrigan; and her siblings-in-law, Gerald and Gladys Hemming.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Foroughi, Dianne Dubowski and David (Krista); her siblings, James Kenney (Alma) and Thelma Blinn; her siblings-in-law, Maurice Berrigan and Vi Parnell; her grandchildren, Brian, Maria, Zachary, Emily, Jessie and Kirsten; and her great grandchildren, Max, Bella, Lachlan, Quinn and Finnley. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Ja Snow Funeral Home (339 Lacewood Dr, Halifax, NS B3S0E1).
